Back in 2010, Black Squirrel Tattoo Studio was established on the corner of 40th & Farnam Street, Omaha’s Blackstone district, by Matt Dinovo & Mel Judkins. Since then Black Squirrel has relocated in Iowa and Nebraska. Each shop is still considered one of the Midwest’s premier tattoo parlors. The Nebraska studio is now operated by Mel and the Iowa Studio by Matt.
The Nebraska location is still in the heart of Midtown Omaha, just a few blocks from the original location. The studio offers a clean, comfortable, and inviting space and prides themselves on exceptional customer service. Black Squirrel provides clientele with top quality, professional tattoo work; offering old and new designs, in addition to custom artwork from the artists on staff. We have been a Best-of-Omaha award winner for 10 years and counting!

I am one of the many warm faces you will see here at the shop when you first enter through our door. I took the leap from a corporate customer service job to work here with these lovely people and have been with Black Squirrel since 2023. Art, in all mediums, has always been a big part of my life, and I love being around people who are truly passionate about what they do. My mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can have the best possible experience during your time with us.
